Scotchbrite is a unique product composed of non-woven fibers, abrasives, and a binder. It's spring like action finishes surfaces so well that you can go right to POLISH!! Combines many steps into one. And it does not load up!

Replaces files, sandpaper, steel wool, wire brushes, set up wheels, greaseless compounds, nylon and tampico brushes, rubber abrasive wheels, harsh chemicals and sandblasting. Truly a modern miracle!

Wheel Aggressiveness:

Purple:is used like a tripoli wheel to cut down firescale and patina. Ideal on most precious metals as they do not remove detail. Flaps of Scotchbrite conform to irregular or flat surfaces

Rose:is used in finishing, blending, and very light deburring. A general purpose wheel that does not remove fine details. 3" wheels spin on tapered shafts.

Grey:In 6" and larger diameters is the most popular of all Scotchbrite wheels and is used to cut down scale, oxidation, sprue marks, and cut down of inlay and soft stones, blends, and solder marks. 1" wheels run on small mandrels, 3" wheels can spin on tapered shafts.

Grey EXL: Similar to the above in action but constructed by a different process allowing wheels as small as 1" diameter

Tan: is for fast cutdown, removes heavy marks and sprues, levels inlay without undercutting the stone or metal. 1x1 Tan wheels can be run on tapered spindle or be cut into thin wheels for use on flex shaft machines. 3" wheels spin on tapered shafts too. Larger wheels operate on regular shafts with flanges.

Black: deburrs, cuts down scale, is used for radiusing, polishes harder metals such as stainless steel, nickel silver and titanium. This is the most aggressive wheel we stock.

These 6" x 9" sheets can be used by hand or can be cut into small pieces to run in a wood split mandrel. Acts like a small flap wheel. Excellent for inside or outside surfaces.

Discs can be ganged together on a shaft to form a wheel with finger like action. Conforms to irregular surfaces. Center hole stretches over shaft. High strength material gives very long life
